About

This is a community package of Yaak, maintained independently.

Yaak is a fast, privacy-first desktop API client for REST, GraphQL, Server-Sent Events, WebSocket and gRPC, built with Tauri, Rust and React. Data stays local, secrets are encrypted, and projects are stored as Git-friendly plain text.

Features:

  • REST, GraphQL, SSE, WebSocket and gRPC support
  • Local-only data with zero telemetry and encrypted secrets
  • Git-friendly plain-text project storage
  • Environment variables, template functions and request chaining
  • OAuth 2.0, Bearer, Basic, API Key, AWS, JWT and NTLM authentication
  • Import from cURL, Postman, Insomnia and OpenAPI
  • Extensible plugin system

Some advanced features require a paid Yaak plan; the application is otherwise free and open source under the MIT license.
