About
This is a community package of Rowboat, maintained independently. It repackages Rowboat Labs' official Linux Debian package unmodified.
Rowboat is an open-source AI coworker that keeps long-lived memory on your machine as plain Markdown. It builds and runs multi-agent workflows so you can delegate work rather than issue one-off prompts.
- Chat with an AI coworker that remembers context across sessions.
- Bring your own LLM — hosted providers with your API keys, or a local model via Ollama or LM Studio.
- Connect Google (Gmail, Calendar, Drive), voice, web search, and external tools over the Model Context Protocol.
- Notes and memory live locally as plain Markdown files under ~/.rowboat.
Permissions: this package grants network, display, GPU, audio (playback and microphone), notifications, keyring, and read/write access to its own data directory (~/.rowboat) so your notes stay editable with your own tools. It does not grant broad home-directory or host access; running local MCP servers or reading files elsewhere needs a user-granted filesystem override.
