CADCraft

This is a community package of CADCraft, maintained independently and unaffiliated with the CADCraft project. It repackages the official upstream Linux release build unmodified.

CADCraft is an open-source, native computer-aided design and drafting app written in Rust that follows the AutoCAD workflow: the command line, object snaps, layers, dimensions, hatches and blocks.

• Opens and saves DXF and DWG drawings
• Dimensions, multileaders, tables and TrueType text
• Paper-space layouts with viewports, plotting to PDF
• SVG and PNG export
• Every command can be driven by AI agents over MCP

The headless command runner and MCP server is included: flatpak run --command=cadcraft-cli ai.storyteller.cadcraft --help

Permissions: this package uses the same sandbox as upstream's own Flatpak manifest, plus the Documents folder: display (Wayland, with X11 as a fallback), the GPU device, and the Pictures and Documents folders. Files anywhere else are opened and saved through the system file chooser. No network access is granted.

Optional overrides:

• Let agents on the host reach the --control automation server: flatpak override --user --share=network ai.storyteller.cadcraft
• Open files by path anywhere in your home folder (command line, Open Recent): flatpak override --user --filesystem=home ai.storyteller.cadcraft
