About
This is a community package of VectorCraft, maintained independently and unaffiliated with the VectorCraft project. It repackages the official upstream Linux release build unmodified.
VectorCraft is an open-source, native vector illustration app written in Rust that follows the Adobe Illustrator workflow: the same layout, tools, menus, panels and shortcuts.
- Pen, Direct Selection, shape and brush tools, artboards and type
- Fills, strokes, gradients and live effects
- Exact curve booleans and unlimited undo
- A documented native format (.vectorcraft), plus SVG and PDF
- Every menu item, tool and panel can be driven by AI agents over a JSON control channel
The headless command runner and MCP server is included: flatpak run --command=vectorcraft-cli ai.storyteller.vectorcraft --help
Permissions: this package uses the same sandbox as upstream's own Flatpak manifest: display (Wayland, with X11 as a fallback), the GPU device, and the Pictures folder. Files anywhere else are opened and saved through the system file chooser. No network access is granted.
Optional overrides:
- Let agents on the host reach the
--controlautomation server:flatpak override --user --share=network ai.storyteller.vectorcraft - Open files by path anywhere in your home folder (command line, Open Recent):
flatpak override --user --filesystem=home ai.storyteller.vectorcraft
