About
This is a community package of OpenWork, maintained independently and unaffiliated with Different AI. It repackages the official upstream Linux build unmodified.
OpenWork is a desktop app where AI agents do work on your own files. It is built on OpenCode and talks to hosted providers, your own API keys, or a local model server. No OpenWork account is required to use it locally.
Sandbox: display, GPU, network, audio, notifications and the Secret Service for stored credentials. The only folder it can reach is its default workspace, ~/OpenWork Chat. Settings stay in the app's own data directory, and picking a file goes through the desktop portal. To let an agent work in another directory, grant it with flatpak override --user --filesystem=~/Projects com.differentai.openwork.
Commands the agent runs see only what the Flatpak runtime ships, not the tools installed on your system. bash, python3 and curl are there; git, node and other host tools are not, so agent tasks that call them fail. This is a known Flatpak limitation.
