Avash

This is a community package of Avash, maintained independently and unaffiliated with the Avash project. It repackages the official upstream .deb unmodified and follows upstream releases automatically.

Avash brings SSH terminals, Windows remote desktops (RDP), VNC desktops, serial consoles and SFTP file transfers into one native application. It reads and writes your ~/.ssh/config as it is, keeps passwords in the system keyring, and verifies SSH and RDP host keys before any credential is sent.

• SSH terminals with snippets, a command palette and session recording.
• Built-in RDP and VNC viewers, with VeNCrypt when the VNC server offers it.
• SFTP with drag and drop, and local, remote and SOCKS tunnels.
• Folders, tags and host health checks; imports PuTTY and MobaXterm sessions.
• Interface in English and French, no telemetry.

Permissions: this package grants network access, the GPU, audio (remote-desktop sound), your SSH agent and the Secret Service for stored passwords. On the filesystem it grants only ~/.ssh — Avash keeps its host list in ~/.ssh/config, so this is the same file your other SSH tools use. Files for SFTP are picked through the file chooser. Two capabilities are not granted by default; enable the ones you need with flatpak override:
