Voiden

This is a community package of Voiden, maintained independently and unaffiliated with the Voiden project. It repackages the official upstream .deb unmodified and follows upstream releases automatically.

Voiden is a local-first API client. Instead of collections locked inside an app, every request lives in a .void file — Markdown with structured blocks for the endpoint, auth, params and body — so requests, tests and documentation sit together in plain text you can diff, grep and review like code.

• REST, GraphQL (schema import, query builder, subscriptions), WebSocket and gRPC, each as an installable plugin.
• Reusable request blocks: define an endpoint or auth block once and reference it across files.
• Pre-request and post-response scripts in JavaScript, Python or shell, plus assertions.
• Stitch runs: execute many .void files in sequence with aggregated results.
• Import from Postman, Insomnia and OpenAPI; cURL import and export.
• No account and no required cloud sync.

Permissions: this package grants network access, the GPU, notifications and the Secret Service for stored secrets. On the filesystem it grants only ~/Voiden, the app's default project directory, so projects created there are the same folder on your host. Projects anywhere else can be opened through the file chooser, or made reachable with an override:

• Open project folders anywhere in your home directory: flatpak override --user --filesystem=home md.voiden.Voiden

Settings, installed plugins and MCP login tokens live in the app's private ~/.voiden directory inside the sandbox, not in your host home.

Scope: the built-in terminal panel and shell scripts run inside the sandbox, on the shells the Flatpak runtime provides — not on your host system. Git is not part of the Flatpak runtime, so Voiden's built-in Git features (status, branches, clone) are unavailable in this package; commit your .void files from a host Git client or editor instead. Requests, scripts, tests and imports are unaffected.
