About

Compass is a native command palette: application search, clipboard history, snippets, file search, a calculator, an emoji picker and a window switcher, extensible with Raycast-compatible extensions and script commands.

It is a memory-safe Rust rewrite of the Vicinae launcher, drawn with Iced and wgpu instead of Qt, and it runs extensions in a sandbox.

File search reads the folders it indexes, your home folder by default. This package does not grant that access up front. To turn it on, run: flatpak override --user --filesystem=home:ro org.tunaos.compass

Applications you launch, and commands an extension runs once you allow them, start on the host through flatpak-spawn, outside the sandbox.
