Antigravity

This is a community package of Antigravity, maintained independently and unaffiliated with Google. It repackages Google's official Linux tarball unmodified.

Antigravity is Google's desktop command center for running several local AI coding agents in parallel: you start agents on a project, watch their progress side by side, and review what they did. The agents read and write the project files you point them at.

This package is the Antigravity desktop app, not the Antigravity IDE. The IDE is a separate upstream product with its own download and its own editor; nothing in this package edits code directly. If an editor is what you are after, get the IDE from Google instead.

A Google account is required for the agent features; the app itself is free to install.

Permissions: by default this package grants home directory access, because the agents work on your project files. A few optional capabilities are not granted by default; enable the ones you need with "flatpak override":

• Host command execution: flatpak override --user --talk-name=org.freedesktop.Flatpak com.google.Antigravity
• Host SSH keys: flatpak override --user --filesystem=~/.ssh:ro com.google.Antigravity

Because home access is granted, Antigravity keeps its own state under your real home directory (~/.gemini) rather than inside the sandboxed app data directory, so that state is left behind by flatpak uninstall --delete-data and has to be removed by hand.

Upstream also ships a migration helper that can download and install the separate Antigravity IDE into ~/.local/share/antigravity-ide, outside Flatpak's control. It is Google's own code, shipped unmodified here, and only runs for users migrating from an existing ~/.gemini/antigravity install.
